Trim those last few inches...
What Can Liposonic Do For You?
If you’re close to your ideal shape, but need a little help getting there, Liposonic may be for you. Liposonic treatments use high-intensity focused ultrasound to non-invasively get rid of targeted fat around your waistline (abdomen and love handles) without surgery. The average waistline reduction after just a single one-hour treatment is about 1 inch (2.5 cm) – which typically means one dress or pant size.
How does Liposonic work?
Liposonic uses special technology called High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) to cause the death of fat cells safely and effectively. Focusing the ultrasound energy of Liposonic at 1-2 cm below the surface of the skin avoids any burns or trauma to the skin and makes the treatment more comfortable. The fat cells are disrupted by the HIFU, resulting in an average 4-5 cm (1.5-2 inches) reduction in waist size for a one-hour treatment procedure.
Liposonic vs CoolSculpting
Both Liposonic and CoolSculpt permanently destroy the fat cells, resulting in a reduction in the size of the area treated. Both are procedures performed in the office, as an outpatient and take about an hour. Both Liposonic and CoolSculpt result in some soreness swelling and bruising in the treatment area. Both take at least 3 months to see results and improvement can continue out to 6 months after the procedure. That is where the similarities end.
Liposonic has no problems with fat hypertrophy (extra fat returning to treatment area) – CoolSculpt can develop fat hypertrophy.
Liposonic has little or no pain afterward. CoolSculpt can have severe pain develop in the treatment zone up to 10% of the time. This can last for 6 months or more and be difficult to treat.
Liposonic can also tighten the skin. CoolSculpt does not tighten the skin.
What type of results can I expect?
Liposonic permanently disrupts the fat cells in the treatment area. One treatment is recommended in the area. A treatment takes about an hour. The current studies showed an average decrease in waist size of 4.6 cm or 1.8 inches after 3 months. This is essentially one pant size.
